Lori is the Director of Faith Formation in the Upstate New York Synod (ELCA) and a spiritual director.  Lori also has a studio, the Riparian Zone, at the Albany Barn.  A riparian zone is that mucky, messy, essential place at the rivers edge.  Her creative work at the Barn is a place figuratively sit in that kind of zone and figure out how to tell the stories of that place where the water is held by the land.  Lori is exploring how to bring writing and various fiber arts (in particular knitting and weaving and spinning) together as way to tell our stories.

Rev. Red Shoes is richly blessed with friends and family who are constantly revealing God’s never failing love and laughing spirit.

And one more thing—She likes red shoes…and purple ones and orange ones and black and brown and blue and pink and yellow and, well, any shoes that are fun and functional and flashy.  Anything to help proclaim the gospel of peace boldly in a sometimes dreary world.
